Volunteer
Community volunteers assist Light Heart in the months of November
and December to carry out numerous activities that make sure
the volume of seniors and those who adopt them have a smooth
and delightful experience.
Tasks that are accomplished for Magic In Believing™:
• Adopting a facility or individual senior
• Transcribing interviews onto Wish Lists
• Wrapping presents
• Planning Parties
• Delivering Gifts
Last year’s annual Magic in Believing™ holiday
gift drive had more than two hundred volunteers helping to provide
3,400 beautifully wrapped, personally tagged gifts for approximately1300
senior residents throughout the Sedona/Verde Valley and Prescott
Valley areas.
California also had 4 facilities participating and plans are
now underway to expand this event into other communities.
"What a joyful and memorable experience your
organization gave to our residents this past Christmas! You
and your group have helped to make a difference in this world,
and this past year this difference was felt here in Camp Verde.
What a joy to have so many caring people reach out to so many
people who needed to be cared for! My heart was deeply touched
as were the hearts of our residents. One woman who opened a
robe and clutched it to her heart said, it’s so beautiful!
Is it really for me? She also received a pair of lovely slippers
that miraculously matched her robe. She just couldn’t
get over it! An elderly gentleman said,” That was such
a lovely gift I received and they didn’t even know me”!
The fact that your organization provided so many
gifts was wonderful. The fact that the gifts were of such high
caliber was beyond our dreams for our residents!
